De Felici is bomb on the art work too. The atest comic from Robert Kirkman, Oblivion Song #1, has arrived with much fanfare and anticipation, and why shouldn’t it?

Other than that, I’m excited for this series more than anything else by Kirkman. And with Oblivion song, the full kick is missing. Time will only tell if “Oblivion Song. Robert Kirkman undoubtedly has another masterpiece on his hands. Oblivion Song Vol 1 is a great sci-fi horror comic by the creator of The Walking Dead.

My main concern is that I don't really see this concept supporting more than a miniseries at best. The government made every attempt to recover them but after many years they gave up. It's not all diamonds, but Invincible is my favorite superhero series ever, so with that over, I have to be read to read and appreciate Oblivion Song right? Welcome back.

I wanted to give it a 4, but then changed it to a 1. Ive always enjoyed post apocalyptic themed stories and this was no exception. I've followed Kirkman pretty faithfully since Battle Pope.

There’s almost no dialogue here, but de Felici’s animated, detailed panels perfectly encapsulate the feelings of despair and terror from the characters while letters from Russ Wooton provide audio cues to each pulse-pounding page. Worth a shot if you like slow burn scifi stories with real characters. incredible to look at, thanks to stellar art from Italian newcomer Lorenzo de Felici, but they’re teeming with life — both human and otherwise. I recommend this book whole-heartedly!

These moments aren’t served to the reader on a silver platter, either — they’re presented by a mixture of dialogue, art, and colors that create a collection of narrative moments.
