Karen Waldron Assistant Company Secretary. it might be my 949th review on Yelp, which is a rather odd number, but it seems Bury overtake Birmingham and Rome as my 7th highest reviewed city on Yelp, which is rather interesting and as a local town I hope to see it going up again!Back to my original review, Sports Direct' only branch in Bury is located here, just outside the main shopping complex in a small retail park, consisting of a Mcdonald's, Tesco, Next and JD Sports (and a Costa Coffee inside Tesco), it is a fairly decent size branch but still just lacks that wow factor and seems disappointing nonetheless, to the point where the range let me down, and despite desperately needing more clothes for my upcoming holiday to Paris, or as the french say Je vais aller Paris - I actually walked out with nothing.Firstly, I was dissapointed with the lift situation, it was a rather old lift which seemed cheap, it has 2 sides and 2 buttons for each floor meaning it was easy to come out on the stock room, but the lift was also filled with stock which needed to be cleared and seemed to be mainly used by staff, which was annoying and rather frustrating.Some of the items here seemed quite expensive, which is surprising seeing as though Sports Direct are known to be a discount sports retailer, mainly down to most products I seen being cheaper on there website, however the signal in the store was very poor, which I feel was them trying to get people to not look elsewhere, or even on there website for pricing where they know it would be cheaper.The store apart from that is a typical Sports Direct but the staff and range seems slightly poorer as well as lift issues, I feel this store does not do enough to compete with a town which boasts two JD Sports, one of there biggest rivals so sadly deserves a single one star right now.
