A well written book about a homeless man, Michael, who found a cat (he called her Tabor) and travelled with her to warmer places in America sleeping and living everywhere and anywhere. The Strays describes a lifestyle with which I am not familiar and would certainly not be comfortable being a part of. Unfortunately I was not as enamoured by her novel. I was enthralled from the first page as I followed the movement of this amazing cat. What a fascinating real-life story of a two men and an inspirational cat. But not everything is as it seems. Strays is filled with love, loss, and adventure and will appeal to anyone who loves animals. Many were born here to stray mothers, having been already full term when they arrived.
